Hannah is a Principal Officer for Social Care at CDC where she has responsibility for the delivery of a range of policy and practice projects focusing on the social care needs of disabled children and those with special educational needs.
Prior to joining CDC, Hannah was a Social Worker in a long term family support and protection team. Hannah holds an MSc in Social Work and is a Systemic Practitioner, having also obtained a Graduate Diploma from the Institute of Family Therapy.
Hannah has several years of project management experience within the education sector, where she worked on a range of programmes and projects that supported teachers to develop their practice. In 2011, Hannah led a study tour to the USA for a group of teachers working in special schools to look at supported employment programmes, including visiting the original Project SEARCH site at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
Hannah believes strongly in social justice and she is dedicated to improving the life chances of young people. She is passionate about social care innovation and sharing best practice.
Hannah’s other big passion is food – cooking it and eating it! She and a friend used to run a supper club and had a particular flair for making marshmallows.
