Children and Families Act 2014 Implementation Update: Issues relating to health

One of the core ambitions of the Children and Families Act is to improve the way education, health and social care services work together to improve the outcomes for disabled children and young people and those with special educational needs and their families.


This report focusses on emerging learning about the key challenges facing local area, messages about practice from local areas and themes to be addressed in future work. This is based on the work the Council for Disabled Children (CDC) has done on behalf of NHS England and the Department for Education with health commissioners, Designated Medical and Clinical Officers (DMO/DCO).
