Managing My Way

Managing My Way was an innovative project
which aimed to increase the responsibility
disabled children and young people are able
to take for managing their own health conditions.  It was funded by the Department of Health. 

CDC used the funding to carry out research with disabled young people and health care professionals which looked at the barriers to young people's involvement and the kinds of tools which help to overcome those barriers.  It also funded us to develop some new tools.

    Research Report

    The report sets out current policy and published research evidence and outlines the experiences and views of 41 young people and 39 health care professionals obtained through focus groups.
