Sorrel is responsible for providing project management support to the various programmes across the Social Care team’s portfolio, with a particular focus on contract management and reporting. She also helps identify links across the strands of work undertaken by the team to ensure that opportunities for joint delivery are utilised and that relevant learning in individual programmes is shared to all appropriate professionals across the sector.
Before joining CDC, Sorrel worked in both the voluntary and public sector supporting vulnerable groups of young people to participate in targeted youth activity and encouraging them to fulfil their unique potential. She has previously been responsible for the delivery of a pan-London youth development programme, as well as the Young Carers Service and Children in Care Council for a London borough. Consequently, she has direct experience of working with children and young people with disabilities and their families to help them access the right support at the right time and is passionate about using these experiences to create meaningful change across the sector.
