Will Carver-Grenside

Participation Development Officer

Will Carver-Grenside.

Will’s role is to support and promote participation across the organisation. From governance to research and policy, Will’s job is to ensure that young people’s voices are heard in a meaningful way in NCB’s work. This includes leading the Young NCB membership and YNCB Advisory Group, supporting the Young Research Advisers and enabling children and young people’s involvement in external projects.

Will joined the Participation team in 2018 while working for the Council for Disabled Children. Through the Making Participation Work programme, Will supported the FLARE disabled children and young people’s advisory group and helped strengthen strategic participation through regional events and national conferences. Will still continues his focus on special educational needs and disabilities through work with the FLARE group.

Before joining CDC, Will completed his Masters in Human Rights from UCL. Will has a particular interest in promoting rights based language and frameworks in participation, and understanding how young people view their rights.
