There’s a lot of change happening around SEND right now, with multiple change programmes ongoing across education, health and social care. These programmes share common themes and priorities – for example they all include a focus on putting the individual or the family at the heart of support planning.
Despite these common themes, with so many change programmes happening simultaneously it can be difficult to keep activities aligned at local area level. However, we know that many areas are working hard to coordinate activity across national change programmes in order to reduce duplication and achieve the best outcomes for children and young people.
