CDC Christmas Digest 2019

Welcome to the Christmas edition of the CDC Digest.

With the Christmas break on our doorstep, and the prospect of seismic political change waiting for us in the New Year, this seems a fitting time to reflect on the past months, and also begin to look forward to what we want for disabled children and young people in the coming months and years.

This edition’s introduction is not one to be skimmed, as our Director Dame Christine Lenehan shares her Christmas wish for the new government.

The voice of young people have and always will be at the heart of our work, and they have contributed fantastically to the resources and news articles in this season’s digest. Their contribution ranges from a guide for young people on EHCP annual reviews, delivering workshops on engaging with young people and identifying policy priorities for young people in transition to adulthood.

All this is featured alongside our own and the sector’s blogs, resources, projects and consultations. As well as an introduction to our newest members, Para Dance UK. Plenty to get stuck into before you set that out of office for the festive period.
