Life Paths: Work and caring for your disabled child

Written by Working FamiliesDate 29 Aug 2017

If you’re caring for a disabled child, you may find yourself going down a different life path than the one you had planned, so remaining in paid work can be quite challenging. Knowing your rights can help you combine paid work and caring for your child. Working Families has set up 'Waving not drowning' - a dedicated network and advice service for parents of disabled children who work or wish to work.

They have launched a short film: 'Life Paths: Work and caring for your disabled child', to help parents of disabled children better understand the advice and support they provide, and to try to convey that leaving the workplace isn’t always their only option.
