Parent carer forum involvement in health services

Contact a Family have published theirsecond report on parent carer forum involvement in shaping health services.

The report is based on a survey carried out in July 2011 where Contact a Family asked 151 Parent Carer Forums (PCF) in England about their work in shaping health services. That survey identified a number of challenges that the PCFs were experiencing in raising children’s issues through Local Involvement Networks (LINks).

This follow up report provides a summary of how parent carer forums have worked with health and their experiences of working with LINks since July 2011. It also reports forums experiences of trying to work with clinical commissioning groups, health and wellbeing boards, and the emerging Healthwatch.
