This resource pack builds upon learning from previous packs and signposts interesting examples of good practice from a number of local offers.
It is intended to further support local authorities and their partners in building a high quality Local Offer that meets both the cultural aspirations behind the SEND reforms as well as the legal requirements. In this resource some examples of good practice across the range of aspects that make up the Local Offer, are mentioned and this could be useful to local authorities
Local authorities are continuing to develop their Local Offer, and it is important to consider that supporting the community including parent carers, children and young people to review and develop the Local Offer, is essential. This is so that the Local Offer is user-friendly, accessible and engaging. The approach would help to ensure that the Local Offer is not simply the sum of its parts but is subject to continuous improvement and innovation.
