This is a Short Breaks resource on running a campaign. It contains a template news release to raise awareness amongst general public, to recruit experienced carers and Friend’ campaign to promote word of mouth recruitment. Also included is using your DVDs and online short films to raise awareness and target carers for a specific short breaks service and from particular backgrounds (men and young people, carers). There is information on how to reach who can be seen as “hard to place”, (children with autism, teenagers, and children with complex needs). A photo release form and a photography warning sign are also in this resource.
