IS & Mental Capacity Training

Independent Support Core Training

The online Independent Support training covers two areas; Legal training and the Role of the Independent Supporter training. The training normally takes up to two days to complete.

Once you have logged in, using the registration details that you have been emailed, you will be asked to complete learning modules in Legal training and Role of the Independent Supporter training. You can view these learning modules as many times as you would like before taking an assessment on each topic.

In order to pass the assessments you will need to achieve a score of 70%. You will have three attempts to complete each assessment. If you are unsuccessful, please await an email from the Council for Disabled children to inform you when you will be able to take the assessment again.

Any queries about the training should be sent to
