CENMAC supports pupils in schools across London so if we’re not in our offices it’s because we are out visiting other schools.
CENMAC is self-funding and is paid for by the home local authority of the pupil receiving support. We offer support to the staff working with the pupil with advice on the best hardware and software to support each pupil. We can also loan equipment to the school which is reviewed on an annual basis to ensure it is still the best solution to meet the pupil’s needs.
You can request a referral form via the website www.ceenmac.com or direct by emailing the pupil’s name, DOB and brief description of their disability to email@example.com. It’s then really important to complete the form with as much detail as possible remembering to include the requested supporting evidence. We ask for all this information to give the Advisory Teacher background information before they visit (once agreement has been given by the LA) and we use it to form part of the request to the LA for funding.
Once permission is received a date is agreed with school for the assessment to take place; parents and any other involved professionals should be invited to attend. Copies of reports are sent to the LA and school for distribution. Pupils are reviewed in a years’ time or earlier if needed.
