The Department for Education (DfE) have published the white paper Educational Excellence Everywhere.
It sets out the government's plans for the next 5 years and includes further information on their announcement to make every school an academy.
The guiding principles according to the paper are:
- Outcomes not methods
- High expectations for every child
- Building capacity through supported autonomy
- Responsive to need and performance
- Realising educational excellence everywhere
We are keen to hear how the White Paper is being received by CDC members and organisations in the sector and how it will relate to their work, so we will be hosting two seminars on 17th May and 9th June. It will be a chance to analyse the paper and unpick what it means for the SEND system and for children and young people with SEN and disabilities.
