A solution building workshop for EHC Coordinators

This workshop is hosted by your SEND Regional Network and will be facilitated by the Council for Disabled Children

This workshop is for EHC Coordinators who want to understand more about Health and Social Care as it relates to EHC needs assessment and planning.

By the end of the session participants will:

  • Develop an understanding of how the current map of health and social care assessments link with EHC needs assessment and planning
  • Have a clear understanding of key information to gather which will support the provision of meaningful health and social care advice
  • Understand the key challenges practitioners are facing and begin to develop local solutions

This workshop will reflect the following guidance produced by CDC:

The role of social care in implementing the Children and Families Act

Identifying the social needs of disabled children and those with SEN as part of EHC assessments and plans

*In preparation for the session, if possible - please print off and bring a copy of your local threshold document and examples of your local processes for providing social care advice as part of EHC needs assessment and planning

A light lunch will provided
