On 12th February 2018, the Making Participation Work Children and young people’s Conference will bring young disabled people and those with SEN together to learn about their rights, why sharing their opinions matters, and to discuss their experiences of participation. We hope they will inspire each other to get involved in decision-making.
The conference is being developed with young people’s input, and a range of fun, accessible workshops will be delivered by different disabled children and young people’s organisations working in the sector. We look forward to welcoming up to 80 children and young people, aged 12 - 25, with a range of backgrounds and experiences to share and learn more about participation and how they can make the most of their rights.
The conference will take place at Conference Aston in Birmingham, a fully accessible venue.
To find out more about the conference, including information for group leaders, information for young people, and how to submit an application, please see here or see the You May Also Like links below.
Please note that places will be allocated by ballot once the application deadline closes on 15th December.
