We have tried-and-tested expertise in areas such as health, social care, education, participation and the wider SEND system.
We stand at the intersection between a number of systems that support children and families.
From this position we have a unique perspective on the challenges many face. Day in, day out.
We draw on what we know works and we make the most of our excellent relationships at national and local levels with a wide range of policymakers, local authorities and voluntary and community organisations.
We work in every local authority and with the majority of Integrated Care Systems (ICS) in England and across the sector in Northern Ireland. These relationships and our extensive networks allow us to bridge policy and practice and support the delivery of programmes that are more effective in responding to the needs of families, create greater inclusion and provide help at the earliest opportunity.
We work across many different areas that impact on the lives of disabled children and young people and children and young people with special educational needs (SEN) and their families, including early years, health, social care and education.
Our team includes nationally recognised leaders, and we have in-depth expertise in all these areas as well as the wider SEND system. Our expert policy team, meanwhile, have a rigorous understanding of the legal and policy frameworks allied to a practical understanding of how to make it work at a local level.
Our support includes expertise and guidance across the following:
- Ordinarily Available Provision
- Understanding the Equality Act
- Developing Working Together/ Co-production Charters
- Developing SEND Outcomes Frameworks
- Safeguarding disabled children and ensuring young people’s rights in the supported accommodation sector
- Reviews of policies, processes, and services
