Ayesha is the Participation Programme Lead at NCB, leading on policy and practice development for our work with children and young people. Ayesha supports the Assistant Director to build and widen the voice and influencing work NCB delivers, including improving our reach into Black, Asian and other Minority Ethnic communities, ensuring the most seldom heard children and young people can have a say in the policy and practice that impacts their lives. Ayesha works in both London and Northern Ireland taking leadership of expanding our work to recruit more grassroot organisations to our networks to hear from more seldom children and young people across the UK.
Ayesha worked in leadership in secondary comprehensive education in London before moving to the charity sector. She managed four departments and a large team of 20 teachers. She has a deep understanding of the education system and the additional needs of young people through her hands on experience in teaching and is an expert in delivering content to children and young people. Ayesha read Music at the University of Bristol before taking her PGCE at Jesus College, Cambridge and her Master's in Music Education at UCL.
