Information, Advice and Support provider
Shropshire Information, Advice and Support Service
Description of service
Shropshire Information, Advice and Support Service (IASS) is a free, confidential and impartial service for children and young people aged 0 – 25 years with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and their parents.
Shropshire IASS offers support on any concerns about SEND, from initial concerns about a possible special educational need or disability, through to complex information and advice. Shropshire IASS can explain your options, rights and responsibilities. We provide information and advice relating to education, health and social care, including SEND law and national and local policy.
Shropshire IASS can signpost you to additional local and national sources of information. They can help with paperwork and preparation for meetings, discussing what questions to ask and empowering you to share your views. They can also explain jargon to help your understanding.
