Description of service
We support families across Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire, providing parents, carers, children and young people with free, confidential and impartial information, advice and support on children and young people’s special educational needs and disability matters. Our aim is to help children and young people achieve the best possible outcomes and prepare well for adulthood, and ensure that the views of parents, carers, children and young people are taken into account when decisions are made around education or disability issues.
We offer:
• Telephone advice (helpline)
• Face-to-face support at Drop-In sessions (contact us for details of dates/venues)
• Support for meetings e.g. at school, with local authority
• Support with paperwork e.g. requesting an Education, Health and Care needs assessment
• Support for EHC needs assessments or annual reviews of EHC Plans
• Signposting to specialist services or agencies

Our telephone helpline (0800 1217772) operates Monday to Friday as follows :
Monday/Wednesday/Friday 9.00am to 1.00pm
Tuesday/Thursday 1.00pm to 5.00pm
