Description of service offered:
SENDIASS North Yorkshire provides a free, confidential, impartial information, advice and support service for parents/carers of children or young people with special educational needs and/ or disabilities (SEND). Young people with SEND are very welcome to call for information advice and support too. Our service is available to children, young people aged 0 to 25 with special educational needs and or disabilities, and their families or carers. Information offered covers a range of matters including education, health, social care. All referrals come to our Advice Line by leaving a telephone message or email. There is a professionals form on our website if a referral has been agreed but this must be with full consent of the person being referred. A trained SENDIASS coordinator will then be in contact with you soon.
