Best Interest Decisions Tool
Ambitious about Autism, Mencap and the Challenging Behaviour Foundation in partnership with Irwin Mitchell, have produced a leaflet to help individuals who feel that they are not being appropriately consulted about the welfare of their loved ones.

G:Up Participation
G:up is an alliance of West Midlands, children, young people and families', voluntary and community sector organisations and networks as well as public sector and national partners. They have launched a new children and young people's participation resource to provide organisations as well children and young people with information such as how to access and influence local democratic systems.

Improving school council for students with autism
The National Autistic Society's Young Campaigners' Group have produced a set of recommendations written for pupils and students to improve the effectiveness of school councils for all school students.

Disability Toolkit
The Disability Toolkit is an online resource created by the Children's Society for professionals who support disabled children and young people to participate in decisions made about their lives.

Engaging Young People Workbook
The Engaging Young People workbook provides suggestions and tips for how local councillors can involve young people in their local area. The workbook also includes case studies outlining the approaches taken by councils around the country, examples of best practice for listening to young people and activities to enable councillors to reflect on their own practice and consider how best to engage young people in their work.

A Handbook of Children and Young People's Participation: Perspectives from theory and practice
This handbook provides overview of contemporary theory and practice around children’s participation.

How to involve children and young people with communication impairments in decision-making
This guide provides information and ideas about how to enable children and young people with communication impairments to be involved in decision-making.

Making Ourselves Heard
Making Ourselves Heard is part of the Council for Disabled Children focussing exclusively on ensuring disabled children's right to be heard becomes a reality.
