Designated Medical/Clinical Officers
The health team at CDC host a series of regional workshops for Designated Medical/Clinical Officers
Key to the success of the SEND reforms is ensuring that practitioners across the sectors are working together to share information and collaborate effectively. To support that objective we are providing regions with a combination of network support and one-to-one advice.
- Regional Joint Working Workshop: We are hosting one-day workshops in each region to bring together local authorities and health commissioners to look at context, process and best practice in joint commissioning. In particular we will look at how joint commissioning works alongside other national programmes such as IPC, Transforming Care and CAMHS.
- Targeted Support: We are offering each region up to 10 days support to address any concerns or meet a particular need. The support could include regional-workshops, action planning, targeted resources or targeted intervention for problem-solving.
- Accelerated Working Group on Health: If there is an appetite in your region for an Accelerated Working Group then we can help facilitate this with key partners within your area.
- Thematic Training Days: We will also be hosting a number of training days on key themes such as key working, health, early years, Outcomes and working with children and young people.
