One of the highlights of our February 2024 Youth Voice Matters Conference was our Youth Voice Manifesto workshop which asked the young delegates to share their thoughts, experiences, priorities and hopes for the future on Health, Education, Social Care and Community.
Participants used a mixed media approach to convey the changes they want to see in the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities system, hoping to inspire and support other disabled children and young people, and those with special educational needs, to speak up and take part in decision-making opportunities in their own local communities.
We want our manifesto to be a starting point for conversations and a call to action, to ensure all disabled children and young people, and those with special educational needs, can live the lives they want to.
We’d love to hear about the ways you are using this manifesto to hold conversations with children and young people about what matters to them, you can get in touch with us at [email protected].
