The Allied Health Professions (AHPs) are the third largest clinical workforce in health and care. This network is specifically for those working in the 14 named AHPs who work with children and young people and are in leadership roles.
The CYP Clinical Leadership Network was Launched in September 2023. The Council or Disabled Children (CDC) worked alongside NHS England to support the development of the network and hosting the online forum for its first year. Since September 2024, NHS England handed over the running of the network to a steering group of 9 network members who have come together to support the networks onward development and growth.
The Council for Disabled Children continue to be involved through their support to the online forum.
The purpose of the network is to create and sustain a peer support network that can proactively engage with, inform and influence priority setting in strategic and policy contexts with local, regional and national colleagues. Additionally, an established network will provide a recognised source of intelligence that can be drawn on to support wider system thinking to improve outcomes for children and young people.
If you would like to join the network, please fill in the Google Form here.
The Children and Young People Allied Health Professionals Clinical Leadership Forum is an online platform, hosted by Mobilize, to encourage peer learning and the sharing of practice, challenges and solutions, following the creation of the network in 2023. The forum can be used as a space for us to share best practices, inspiration, tips, ideas and support each other. We'll also be using this platform to keep you updated on events, activities, and programs.
The forum is for Children and Young People Allied Health Professional Leaders working in local areas across England.
