Join us for one of our upcoming events! All the below are delivered as part of the Making Participation Work programme.
For participation and engagement practitioners:
- Virtual monthly coffee mornings, where practitioners can informally discuss participation best practice, network and share expertise. Attendees can expect to hear from participation colleagues and take part in small group discussions on different topics.
- Tri-annual community of practices held online, offering the opportunity to focus on different elements of participation. Attendees will hear from a variety of presenters and take part in discussions with participation colleagues where they might be invited to collaborate, problem-solve or share their knowledge. At previous events we have explored how we can approach engaging disabled children and young people and those with special educational needs in research opportunities, how their voices can be shared through digital technologies and online platforms, and creative participation methods in decision-making.
For children and young people:
- The annual Youth Voice Matters conference, designed by children and young people for children and young people. This event sees disabled children and young people and those with special educational needs from across England come together to develop their participation skills and recognise the impact they can have when taking part in strategic participation. This in-person event invites children and young people to take part in interactive workshops, learn, build connections with other children and young people, and share their voices.
