As the Social Care Programme Manager, Georgia manages the delivery of some of the key elements of our contracts, contributing to our work to improve frontline practice and outcomes for children and young people. This involves developing and delivering training sessions for a range of audiences in social care, as well as facilitating learning and sharing events for frontline practitioners. She also helps develop new project ideas and funding bids, and produces papers, briefings and guides on key topics relating to social care and SEND.
Georgia’s current projects include supporting the development of a community of practice for the Department for Education’s Short Breaks Innovation Programme and supporting local authorities to effectively embed new liberty protection safeguards into social care practice.
Before joining NCB and CDC, Georgia worked as a social worker in a disabled children’s team, supporting children and families across child in need, child protection and looked after children. She has also worked in policy and public affairs at the NSPCC, where she specialised in child protection and children’s social care policy.
