This is the first report of a national confidential enquiry specifically focussed on child deaths.
This report is based upon the analysis of two datasets: the quantitative analysis of the core dataset (957 deaths) and the qualitative analysis of 126 of the deaths evaluated by 41 multidisciplinary panels.
