This publication looks at the assessment processes during the ‘daytime only’ Short Breaks that take place in family settings. The issue whether short breaks schemes were available in a simplified form of assessment and approval for carers who provide ‘daytime only links’, was raised. This resource summarises key policy extracts and the outcome of a consultation with the network practice as it was in December 2012. The conclusions and suggestions are also mentioned in this resource.
