Emma is a physiotherapist and the Allied Health Professional Lead for CYP in North East London Foundation Trust (NELFT), which covers 4 London boroughs and across Essex and Kent for Children’s services, with 10 of the AHP professions represented in it.
Prior to her current role, Emma has worked as both a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist specialising in complex needs and orthotics and also as the Clinical Lead for Children’s OT and Physiotherapy in Redbridge. She is a safeguarding supervisor and a Me First Trainer which reflects her passion for co-production and ensuring that voice of the young person is heard at all levels of service delivery and planning. In conjunction with her co-trainer, an autistic young person, Emma delivers training on the Me First Fundamentals module to children’s services across her organisation.
Outside of her NHS role, Emma works as a volunteer physiotherapist at Arrow Riding Centre for the Disabled and works with riders at all levels and ages to help them achieve both their physiotherapy and horse-riding goals, from learning to sit up and balance to competing at the highest levels.
