Youth Voice Matters Conference 2021

Making Participation Work run an annual Young People’s Conference for disabled children and young people and children and young people with special educational needs. The entire conference each year is co-developed and co-delivered by FLARE, the young disabled advisory group to the Department for Education. The conferences are designed to support children and young people to learn and share skills to get their voices heard in decision making.

Our 2021 conference named ‘Youth Voice Matters’ and was held online. This is what some of the young people had to say:

It was really fun, not too much talking. It was interactive. It included us.
