my AFK

my AFK helps and empowers disabled young people and promotes an independent lifestyle by providing employment, training opportunities and mobility equipment unavailable on the NHS.

my AFK is a national charity helping disabled young people to develop their independence and find employment.

my AFK provide mobility aids not available on the NHS for disabled children and young people under the age of 26. They also run independent living, bespoke employment skills training and organise work experience and employment for young people aged 14-26+ with learning disabilities in the London area. Many of our young people have complex learning support needs therefore we work with them closely to develop practical ways to involve them in making decisions about how they want to live their lives.

Vision

  • A world where all disabled people get to lead the life they choose, just like their non disabled peers.

Mission

  • To enable as many disabled young people as possible the opportunity to work or volunteer in the community.
