Natchathiram CIC is a Community Interest Company providing specialist SEND navigation and advocacy support to Tamil families across East and North East London.
We were established with National Lottery funding and have been operating for approximately 18 months. Our work spans free online workshops covering the SEND assessment route, EHC plans, SEN support, annual reviews and school placements, alongside intensive 1:1 advocacy and navigation support for families going through the system. To date our casework has resulted in two tribunal wins with EHC plans awarded, one unlawful reduced timetable reversed, and one unsuitable placement successfully changed. Our founder has over 10 years of experience as a SENCO and is fluent in Tamil. All support is delivered bilingually, enabling us to reach Tamil-speaking families who are not accessing statutory SEND services due to language and cultural barriers.
