POINT is a forum for parents and carers of disabled children and young people and those with additional needs in Oldham.

They aim to represent ALL families of disabled children and those with additional needs, and to be pro-active in ensuring that parents and young people have a voice in shaping services for the future as well as supporting their family’s current needs.

Their services include:

  • Information and guidance on services and support;
  • A weekly newsletter;
  • Access to the latest SEND information;
  • Access to local and national support groups;
  • Useful information for grants and benefits;
  • Oldham Parent Carer Forum;
  • SEND Information, Advice and Support (IAS) Service;
  • SEND Workshops and Training Service;
  • SEND-Together counselling;
  • Ability Wheelz Cycling Centre

They also review all of their policies regularly to ensure that they meet the needs of their organization and their members. The Board of Trustees have responsibility for maintaining policy statements and undertaking formal reviews of policies at least bi-annually.
