Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH)

Our mission is to transform child health through knowledge, innovation and expertise.

The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health is one of the Medical Royal Colleges. They have a role in role in postgraduate medical education and professional standards: setting syllabuses for postgraduate training in paediatrics, overseeing the training, running examinations, organising courses and conferences, issuing guidance and conducting research.

The RCPCH provides the following:

  • Responsible for postgraduate training of paediatricians in the UK, and run the membership (MRCPCH) and Diploma of Child Health examinations.
  • Work with partners to improve child health through research, standards, quality improvement and policy, in the UK and globally. They directly involve children, young people and families in our programmes.
  • Support all their members with a package of unique benefits. These include access to multidisciplinary educational programmes, including face-to-face courses and e-learning resources. 
  • Engage with the media, government, NHS, charities and other stakeholders, and work across the UK - Scotland,Wales, Ireland and England.
