Ryedale Special Families is a parent-led, family centred charity supporting families of disabled children, young people and young adults and those with additional needs and illness in Ryedale, North Yorkshire.
We support families in 4 ways, by providing advice, advocacy and guidance on matters relevant to them; we provide social groups for children and young people, we run regular family activities for the whole family to attend and we are also a registered provider of domiciliary care services. The care service is provided under contract via Social Care or Direct Payments.
Our aim is to make families' lives easier, by connecting them with other families to reduce isolation, by providing services they need free or at a cost they can afford and by providing ways of enjoying leisure time together and independently.
We support disabled children and young people and those with additional needs; complex medical needs, physical disabilities and learning disabilities - from severe to mild aged from birth to 25 years.
