Shine (East Norfolk) is a local independent charity established by parents of children and young people with special needs over twenty five years ago.
Our main aim is ‘to enhance the lives of disabled children and children with additional needs and their families’. Trained staff and volunteers offer a variety of fun activities within a group setting, to help children develop and consolidate a range of personal, social and daily living skills. These short breaks provide short-term, temporary care to children so their families can take a break from the daily routine of caregiving. Further support, information and guidance are provided for the whole family so parents can develop an informed understanding of their child’s needs and empower them to make positive choices which enhance all their lives.
