Special Connections CIC

We support young adults  and adults with additional needs by providing life skills training and work experience opportunities in Newcastle . Our initiatives, including a community cafe called Loui's Kitchen, create inclusive environments where beneficiaries can thrive and gain practical skills.

Our activities benefit young adults & adults with additional needs, members of the community, local business, new and existing community groups, by creating opportunities for young adults with additional needs to build special connections that provide experiences that increase their life skills, leading to increased independence, and partnerships with local community groups, charities, social enterprises and businesses to provide services and support.

Our services are shaped by and responsive to the needs of the local community. We adapt our services based on
feedback and have introduced initiatives such as:
• Our Tuesday Club provides a weekly lunchtime club with activities and a free hot lunch for older residents.
• Volunteering opportunities for young adults with special needs.
• Our Cake and Chat mornings offer a free meeting space, with cake and drinks, for local voluntary and
community groups.
• Showcasing opportunities for local services to connect with residents.
