On 22nd November 2023, CDC ran a virtual National Webinar on the theme of SEN Casework Teams.
The event was aimed at SEND Leads, SEN Case Team Managers, SEN Case Officers as well as Health and ICB colleagues, DSCOs, DMOs and DCOs and regional Parent Carer Forum representatives.
The webinar consisted of an introduction from Kate Sutton, Acting Assistant Director at the Council for Disabled Children; a presentation from Dr Tracy Laverick and Dr Richard Baron from Leeds Trinity University on the experiences of SEN Casework Officers, a group discussion on how to become ‘more response and receptive SEN Case Teams’ and finished with a presentation from Macey-Rae Read, Programme Officer at the Council for Disabled Children on emerging themes from CDC’s workshops with SEN Case Team Managers on supporting emotional resilience.
After each presentation, there was an allocated slot for questions and answers.
