On Wednesday 19th March 2025, CDC ran a virtual National Webinar on Putting Co-Production and Relationships at the Heart of the System.
The event was aimed at SEND Leads, SEN Case Team Managers, SEN Case Officers as well as Health and ICB colleagues, DSCOs, DMOs and DCOs and regional Parent Carer Forum representatives.
The webinar consisted of an introduction from Sam Gomarsall, Programme Lead at the Council for Disabled Children; a presentation from Meanu Bajwa-Patel from the University of Warwick and Gaa-Ling Hardstaff, Programme Manager at CDC on some recent research on co-production in SEND services, a second presentation from Louise, a FLARE member and expert by experience on the impact and importance of co-production and finished with a presentation from Kierran Pearce, Multi-School Council Programme Lead in Essex on co-production through the Essex Multi-schools council. There was time for final plenary session at the end led by Sam Gomarsall.
After each presentation, there was an allocated slot for questions and answers.
