Ambitious about Autism

Ambitious about Autism is the national charity for children and young people with autism. Ambitious about Autism provide services, raise awareness and understanding, and campaign for change.

"Our ambition is to make the ordinary possible for more children and young people with autism."

Ambitious about Autism are highly collaborative, working with children and young people with autism, their families and other organisations. Children and young people with autism are at the centre of all that we do: their well-being and safety is our number one priority.

Through TreeHouse School and Ambitious College we offer specialist education and support. TreeHouse School is a day school for children and young people with complex autism aged 3-19 based in north London.

Ambitious College is London’s only registered day college for young people aged 16-25 with complex autism. We support learners to gain the experience and skills they need to lead a fulfilling adult life in their local community.

Ambitious about Autism formed the Autism Schools Trust (AST) in partnership with the learning disability charity Dimensions. AST supports the development of new special schools. The Rise School is the first school to be opened and is based in Feltham.

The charity's new strategy is driven by the following three themes:

  • More and better services
  • Awareness and understanding
  • Influencing policy
