The Federation of Jewish Services

As a Jewish social care charity The Fed’s services are designed to meet the cultural and religious needs of Jewish service-users. We support anyone who is Jewish and living in Greater Manchester no matter what their denomination.

They provide a social work assessment, advice and support service for children in need and their families.

A short breaks service (Project Smile) largely supports children with additional needs but also families in crisis, such as serious parental illness or homelessness.

They provide individual support and run a specialist children’s centre, children’s groups and play-schemes, as well as an annual children’s holiday.

The Fed make no charge for our social work services. Project Smile and related services are subject to assessment, and may be funded in whole or part by local authorities. Their Care at Home project provides a continuation support service from the age of 18.
