Solent Youth Action (SYA)

The SYA are a youth provision charity working with young people across the South of Hampshire.

Solent Youth Action aims to help young people contribute to their local community and participate in positive youth-led projects.

They provide young people with access to good quality volunteering, and social opportunities and support them to realise their own projects and ideas.

Solent Youth Action empowers young people to develop as individuals, enjoy new challenges and make a positive contribution to the community through volunteering, social action and active citizenship.

  • 1-2-1 Community Buddies – Solent Youth Action is a Community Buddies provider offering one to one support for young people aged 10 – 19 years.

  • Holiday Programme – fun activity filled scheme running during school periods.

  • In-Clued – is a supported volunteering scheme for young people aged 13-25 who may struggle to get involved in volunteering independently.

  • ReThink – is a personal development project in Southampton & Eastleigh for disadvantaged young people and those at risk of offending.

  • Recharge –  is a horticulture, construction and forest management based supported volunteer scheme for young people aged 13- 25 who are unemployed, NEET, have learning disabilities or mental health issues in Eastleigh and surrounding areas.

  • Staunton Stars – is a supported volunteering project at Staunton Country Park in Havant.
