This is an Early Support information resource on learning disabilities and is useful for anyone who has recently been told that their child has a learning disability, are concerned about their child’s development or are in the process of getting an assessment.
In this resource you will find an introduction to the key things that you might want to know if your child has or might have a learning disability. This includes what a learning disability is, whether your child got a learning disability and how to know whether a child has a learning disability. Also discusses is what to look out for, talking to your health visitor, GP or teacher and what I will need to think about as my child gets older.
