National Star is an organisation that runs specialist education and care services.
We operate a specialist post 16 college and operate a number of satellite specialist education bases. We provide personalised learning, therapy, and care to help students develop skills, independence, and confidence for adult life. The organisation focuses on creating opportunities for each person to achieve their goals and take part in their community. We also operate a number of long term living services for people with disabilities and complex needs.
National Star supports the development of policy and practice for disabled children and young people through its specialist expertise in education, therapy, and care. The organisation contributes by sharing evidence from its work with learners who have complex needs, helping to inform best practice and improve services. It works in partnership with local authorities, health services, and other providers, and takes part in sector networks, consultations, and professional forums. Through training, research, and collaboration, National Star helps shape more inclusive approaches and improve outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
