All of the national change programmes happening in health right now include a focus on ‘personalisation’ – putting the individual at the centre of the care planning process, and working with them to ensure the support they receive is tailored to their particular needs, interests and ambitions. This is the primary focus of the Personalised Care programme.
Personal budgets can support better integration of services at an individual level, by bringing together funds from different agencies involved in an individual’s care and giving that person or their family more choice and control over how that money is spent.
