Children, young people and their families are preparing for the return to education in September. With children and young people out of education for so long and given the current climate, this may be an overwhelming experience.

Headstart
- Headstart Hull have worked with Barnardo’s to co-produce resources with young people and schools focusing on transition from primary to secondary school. Read here.
- HeadStart Cornwall and the Educational Psychology Service have been working on school recovery support and here are some prompts to consider 6 ‘areas for reflection’ organised using the Swan Framework - Safe, Welcoming, Altogether, Nurturing – suggested by Dr Pooky Knightsmith.
- HeadStart Blackpool’s Resilience Revolution has co-produced a set of recommendations with young people and their families for schools to consider in their planning around pupil return to school.
The Schools Wellbeing Partnership
- The Schools' Wellbeing Partnership in consultation with the Department for Education, have developed a toolkit to help primary schools to work through the key considerations to support mental health and wellbeing as all pupils begin to return to school full time. Read here.
