Ali Rohatynskyj is a Speech and Language Therapist , currently Therapy Services Manager for Childrens Services, including neurodevelopmental assessment at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust. She is also the Trust-wide Speech and Language Therapy Professional lead . We are part of West Yorkshire ICS, but our trust ‘patch’ also covers a corner of North Yorkshire.
Ali has worked in Childrens services for 33 years and has an MSc in Advanced SALT practice. She has worked in Airedale for the past 16 years, but prior to that worked in Leeds (twice), Rotherham and Newham. For the past 5 years she has been Chair of the Yorkshire and Humber Speech and Language Therapy managers/ HEI group
Her clinical background is CYP with complex needs, autism and dysphagia.
She has managed an integrated therapies/ CDC service for CYP aged 0-19 years for the last 10 years, including a Therapies led Autism assessment pathway.
Ali’s had experience of 2 SEND inspections in the last 3 years and is involved with several local partnership steering groups. She is passionate about ensuring the most effective use of services, achieving the best outcomes for children and young people and their families, and the wellbeing of AHPs. She looks forward to facilitating and being part of discussions and progression at a national level through this network.
